At ICS.AI, AI isn’t just what we build - it’s how we work, learn, and lead. Becoming what we call an AI-native organisation has fundamentally reshaped both our leadership approach and our company culture.

Every role across the business, from sales and delivery to marketing and engineering, is empowered to use AI daily - to automate tasks, speed up decision-making, and unlock new ways to create value.

This mindset shift has transformed how we collaborate, how we grow, and how we connect as a remote-first team. It’s not about replacing people with technology; it’s about enabling every individual to do their most creative, impactful work.

Curiosity and Experimentation

Being AI-native means encouraging experimentation - and celebrating what we learn along the way. At ICS.AI, curiosity is something we actively look for in every new hire and continue to nurture once people join us.

That curiosity shows up in how our people are using AI every day. In our recent internal AI survey, over 90% of employees said they use AI tools regularly in their work - whether to automate tasks, improve productivity, brainstorm ideas, or support clients. Many described AI as “a trusted copilot,” helping them think faster, write better, and focus on more creative and strategic work.

This hands-on adoption isn’t just encouraged - it’s celebrated. One team member summed it up perfectly: ICS.AI embodies and practices the transformation that we sell.”

The same survey also showed that AI has become a natural part of our work habits - with the majority of the team saying it’s now as essential as email or messaging. That’s a true sign of what it means to be AI-native: AI isn’t just a tool; it’s part of the rhythm of our day.

As Jonathan, one of our technical team members, explains:

"Every day brings different challenges to solve, and that keeps my work exciting and engaging. What motivates me most is knowing that the skills I use don’t just solve abstract problems – they’re applied in ways that genuinely help people and make a positive difference.”

That sense of purpose is what drives innovation across every department. Neil, from our marketing team, adds:

“I love working for a company at the cutting-edge of AI technology – delivering real benefits to public services and helping organisations transform how they serve their communities.”

Together, curiosity and impact define how we approach AI - responsibly, securely, and with the public good in mind.

Growth and Opportunity

For Susanna, being part of an AI-native company has meant new opportunities to grow and evolve.

“I’ve been given the chance to grow, moving from finance into delivery and learning project management from scratch. It’s exciting to be part of a company leading the way in AI and to see that innovation from the inside out.”

That culture of trust and empowerment came through strongly in our internal survey, with many team members saying that working with AI has given them the confidence to learn new skills and explore new ways of solving problems.

Purpose and Impact

Every story within ICS.AI connects back to purpose - creating real-world impact through AI. Mark, from our delivery team, puts it perfectly:

“At ICS.AI, we’re at the forefront of transforming public sector services, shaping how AI is used to create real impact. What excites me most is how AI touches every part of life – from workplace solutions to everyday tools like Netflix recommendations or Siri.”

That sense of purpose extends to how we sell, support, and innovate. As Aneeq from Sales explains:

Even as a remote-first organisation, we collaborate brilliantly, and I’ve had great opportunities to grow my career. We’re helping shape how local government will use the most powerful technology humanity has ever had. Being at the forefront of defining that future is incredibly exciting.”

Our survey responses reflected this same passion - with employees highlighting pride in delivering real impact for councils, colleges, and citizens through our AI solutions. That alignment between mission and motivation is what keeps our teams connected and inspired.

Remote-First, Connected Always

While we operate remotely, our team feels more connected than ever. AI plays a key role in that - from streamlining communication to simplifying collaboration.  Survey results reinforced that, with employees noting how AI helps bridge distance and drive connection. Whether it’s through shared learning, quick collaboration, or automating repetitive admin, AI helps our people focus on what matters most - creative and strategic work that moves projects forward.

But just as important is the culture we’ve built: one that values openness, trust, and genuine human connection. We talk openly about what hasn’t worked, share what we’ve learned, and celebrate the curiosity that drives progress.

In this environment, leadership is less about directing and more about enabling - empowering every individual to explore, share, and scale what they discover.

Humans + AI: A Culture of the Future

Our internal survey results reaffirm what we see every day - that AI isn’t just part of our toolkit; it’s part of our culture.

The biggest challenge in becoming AI-native isn’t technical; it’s cultural - helping people feel confident, curious, and creative in how they use AI. Our greatest success so far has been seeing that shift happen across the business - watching every ICS.AI team member become a Copilot in shaping how AI transforms their role, their team, and our company.

At ICS.AI, AI doesn’t replace people – it empowers them.
