ICS.AI Wins AI Excellence Award at the Central South Business Awards 2026

We’re proud to announce that ICS.AI has won the AI Excellence Award at the Central South Business Awards 2026, recognising our work in delivering responsible, scalable AI transformation across the public sector.

The award was collected by our CMO Fiona Watson at the ceremony held at the Leonardo Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton on 13 May, alongside some of the most innovative organisations across the Central South region.

The AI Excellence category featured an outstanding group of finalists, including Innovation in Equity, Kiwi Education, Lifelight, Prospectus IT Recruitment and SAIReco.

This recognition marks another important milestone in ICS.AI’s journey to help organisations move beyond fragmented AI experimentation and towards fully integrated, organisation-wide AI operating models.

Earlier this year, we shared our excitement at being shortlisted for the award. At the time, we reflected on how the industry is shifting:

Winning the award reinforces that this transformation is now being recognised not only by customers and partners, but across the wider business community.

Our work with organisations such as Derby City Council has demonstrated what large-scale AI transformation can achieve when delivered with governance, workforce enablement and organisational redesign at its core - including £12 million in identified savings, improved access to services and millions of resident interactions handled through AI-enabled services.

It also reflects growing recognition of ICS.AI’s wider mission to help organisations implement AI responsibly and sustainably, with human oversight embedded by design.

As outlined in our recent whitepaper, The Human Firewall: Why AI Won’t Replace Most Jobs, the future of AI is not about removing people from organisations. It is about augmenting human capability, strengthening accountability and enabling workforces to operate more effectively in increasingly complex environments.
