We are delighted to announce that ICS.AI has been recognised as #19 in TechRound's AI45 2026, a prestigious global ranking celebrating the world's most exciting and innovative AI companies.
Published by TechRound, one of the UK's fastest-growing technology and startup publications, the AI45 highlights organisations that are delivering meaningful innovation and measurable impact through artificial intelligence.
This recognition reflects the incredible work of our team, customers and partners who are helping redefine what AI-enabled public services can achieve.
Transforming Public Services Through Unified AI
Since our founding in 2018 by CEO Martin Neale, ICS.AI has focused on a simple but ambitious mission: helping public sector organisations adopt AI safely, responsibly and at scale.
While many organisations have experimented with isolated AI tools and pilots, public services require a different approach. They need governance, transparency, security and measurable outcomes.
This is why we developed the UK's first Unified AI Platform and Operating Model for Public Services, enabling councils, education providers and government organisations to move from AI-curious to AI-native.
Powered by more than 11 million AI interactions, our platform supports transformation across:
Resident and citizen access to services
Workforce AI and staff productivity
Agentic back-office operations
Governance, oversight and ethical AI adoption
Organisational transformation through our SMART: AI Transformation Programme
Delivering Measurable Impact
The recognition from TechRound highlights the real-world outcomes being achieved by organisations using ICS.AI.
Derby City Council
Working alongside Derby City Council, ICS.AI helped establish one of the UK's first unified AI Target Operating Models spanning resident services, workforce productivity and operational processes.
The programme has delivered £12.25 million in identified savings, while improving access to services, reducing administrative burden and enabling organisation-wide AI adoption supported by strong governance.
Today, Derby is increasingly viewed as a blueprint for how local government can adopt AI safely and at scale.
Renfrewshire Council
In Scotland, ICS.AI partnered with Renfrewshire Council to launch Millie, Scotland's first AI-powered phone assistant for local government.
Millie has handled more than 436,000 calls, including almost 100,000 out-of-hours enquiries, while resolving around 40% of interactions without human intervention.
By training the platform to understand Scottish terminology and regional dialects, the solution has achieved speech recognition success rates exceeding 98%, helping improve accessibility and resident experience.
Building AI-Native Organisations
As public sector organisations face growing demand, workforce pressures and financial challenges, AI must move beyond experimentation and become part of how organisations operate.
Through the SMART: AI Transformation Programme, ICS.AI helps organisations embed AI across every process, role and interaction, creating sustainable, governed and measurable transformation.
This recognition from TechRound reinforces our belief that the future belongs not to organisations running isolated AI projects, but to those becoming truly AI-native.
Thank You
We would like to thank TechRound for recognising ICS.AI in this year's AI45 rankings, and extend our gratitude to our customers, partners and colleagues whose commitment to innovation continues to drive meaningful outcomes across public services.
Together, we are helping build the next generation of AI-native public services.
